BOOM!!! here is the cover i shot with david kitt for his new album "the nightsaver" which is released on the 27th of march. having been a fan of davids music for a longtime its cool to have been involved in working on this with him. we met through a mutual friend, a wonderful swedish headbanger illustrator called ella (www.ellabertilsson.com) and from the get-go things just clicked. the fact that he's as hyped on the wu-tang & eggleston as me definitely helped matters too. the album sounds amazing and a lot of love has gone into getting all the artwork we shot just right. its such a good feeling when you really put the hours into something and see it blossom into an end result that you are genuinely proud of...

"It's much better to be a sinking ship after all, rather than a rat jumping off one."

hi there. its been a while since i blogged. lots of happenings since we last spoke. i shot a full series of ad's for 3 mobile last month which was really nice to work on. also finally finished all the artwork for david kitt's new album "the nightsaver" which is dropping next month and sounds banging. also shot a fashion editorial for totally dublin with aisling farinella that should be out in a week or so. it was a good laugh shooting it - all on the northside, along the train tracks and canal from broombridge to coolmine and we even got my ma involved to help out with tasty sambo's and home-made soup for the whole gang. thanks ma! oh yeah and i also re-did my website with the lovely lads at conor&david (www.conoranddavid.com) so go check it: www.richgilligan.com (apologies for the amount of "also's" in this message)
